Red Cross Netherlands appoints first female director in 151-year history

Marieke van Schaik (47) was nominated by the association's board as the new general director of the Dutch Red Cross. Dani Bicker Caarten is proud that Maes & Lunau was able to facilitate this search assignment. Van Schaik is now Managing Director of the Charity Lotteries (the National Postcode Lottery, the BankGiro Lottery and the Friends Lottery). She succeeds Gijs de Vries, who will concentrate on his supervisory duties with effect from 1 September.
