Private Equity

Private equity companies are prepared to use risk-bearing capital to finance non-listed companies as well as promising start-ups and family businesses. The source of funding for these activities comes from financing institutions, large family offices and investors in general. In exchange, they buy shares, usually a majority interest, whereby they acquire control over the strategy and the financing structure.

Together with the management, they explore how the company can be more profitable, with the ultimate aim of capitalising on the sale of the more efficiently operating company. For many years, Maes & Lunau has played a prominent role in recruiting and selecting the right primary and secondary management for well-known Dutch private equity businesses. This is partly why we feel so involved in the development of this administrative elite sport in which they and the candidates supplied play an important role in the success of these companies.
We often work for private equity companies or for companies where private equity plays a role.
