    The chief human resources Officer, also referred to as chief people officer or HR Director, plays a central role in shaping culture, leadership and organisational dynamics. Ongoing digitalisation, hybrid working, labour market scarcity and a growing focus on wellbeing, diversity and inclusion are causing the HR domain to evolve faster than ever. The CHRO builds organisations that are agile, healthy and future ready. A modern CHRO combines strategic insight with people centred leadership. He or she translates organisational goals into a clear people strategy and creates an environment in which talent can grow, teams can excel and culture is experienced in everyday work.

    The role of the CHRO
    The CHRO is responsible for the full HR domain, including compensation and benefits, talent acquisition, learning and development, leadership development, organisational development, performance management, wellbeing and employee experience.
    As a strategic sparring partner to the Executive Board, the CHRO creates a consistent people strategy, connects departments and strengthens a culture in which employees feel engaged and valued. The CHRO also plays a crucial role in advancing diversity and inclusion and in attracting and retaining future focused talent.
