Heuschen & Schrouff Oriental Food, the number 1 importer and distributor of authentic Asian food and non-food products in Europe, has appointed a new CFO: Ernes Zelen.
The success of Heuschen & Schrouff started in the early 60s when Frits Schrouff, the founder of the company, noticed how much Indonesian immigrants missed products from their homeland. To meet this demand, he travelled to Indonesia and began importing rice and soy products on a small scale, which he sold door-to-door out of a small pickup truck. This adventure developed over several decades into the large and dynamic company that Heuschen & Schrouff is today with over 400 employees and more than €200 million in sales.
Ernes Zelen brings his expertise in retail and foodservice channels to Heuschen & Schrouff. As an experienced and international finance professional from the highly dynamic world of (B2B) dairy trading, he not only has broad finance experience but also experience working within a family business.
